Some of our P7 pupils attended the launch of a new educational resource book in Banbridge Old Town Hall. The publication hopes to inspire new literary heroes of the future as they celebrate the life of Banbridge’s native hero, Captain Crozier.
The book is a learning resource for primary school aged children and was collaboratively created by pupils of Banbridge High School and St. Patrick’s High School. We now have copies in school for our own reference to help us in our current WAU topic during which we will learn about the history and geography of our local environment. Also in attendance were the Lord Mayor of ABC Council, local MLA’s, assembled guests from other schools and even some descendants of the Crozier family tree in Banbridge. Everyone was treated to read-through of the book by actors in traditional period costumes in a historical role play.
