Maths is fun inP6/7!!
We have completed lots of practical maths activities this week so far as part of ‘Numeracy Week’ in school.
P7 have measured the circumference and diameter of circular objects to calculate the volume of Pi. They also measured the dimensions of the hockey pitch and netball court and used the measurements to calculate area and perimeter of each.
P6 completed several workstations which practiced skills of using decimals in everyday life. They also measured different elements of the school grounds and converted the measurements from one unit of measure to another. Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the practical activities. And it’s only Wednesday…….
