P6 online history lesson with Dr Hughes
We were treated today to a fantastic learning opportunity courtesy of Dr. Gavin Hughes , Catherine’s father from our class. We have been researching the life and story of Captain Crozier who was born in Banbridge and who famously embarked on the Franklin expedition to discover the North-West Passage in the Canadian Arctic in 1845.
It was a real pleasure to play a recorded film in school that Dr Hughes made especially for our class with his fascinating historical insights into the life of Captain Crozier. We learned lots of additional information for our studies and are extremely grateful that Dr Hughes took the time to use technology to send us an extended educational resource in the inability to come visit us personally in class.
On behalf of the pupils and staff in P6....Thank you Dr Hughes!
