We did lots of activities all to do with love. We talked about what Valentines’ Day was and all P1 got to tell the class about who they loved and why.
We talked about the importance of healthy hearts. The children sorted different foods into healthy or non-healthy.
We carried out a really exciting science experiment. The children had to predict whether their love heart would float or sink in different liquids. The class loved having a prediction and we found out that in the oil the love hearts were floating and in the water the love hearts sank. ❤️💙💜
To finish off Valentines’ week we had a ‘Red Day’ or ‘Superhero Costume’ Day in aid of the very sad news of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Our school raised an amazing £1082 for the appeal.
