P2/3 Winter walk
P2/3 wrapped up warm and set off on our winter walk around the school grounds. Although there was no snow or ice, it was still avvery cold and wet day. We noticed lots of deciduous trees that were bare. We also spotted some evergreen trees. The grass was very green but soggy and there were no pretty flowers growing. We noticed how bare the hedgerows, apple trees and willow hut had become. We managed to spot some pine cones and berries growing but we missed seeing the animals in the fields. They were keeping warm in the barns. Some little birds were flying around the front of the school trying to find something to eat. It was very grey looking outside and very cold and although we enjoyed our walk, we were happy to get back inside to the heat and write and draw some the signs of winter we had spotted!
