P4/5 activities this week!
We’ve had a lot of fun this week taking part in different maths activities each day. Work on length, capacity, tessellation, angles and a maths trail around the school. We also started Highland Dance with Kathryn! Some of the pupils may well be showing you some moves in the Spring Concert.
We also had an estimation activity each day.
Monday - we estimated then counted how many party rings there were in a packet.
Tuesday - we estimated then counted how many pens were in a pot.
Wednesday - we estimated then counted how many books were in a pile.
Thursday - we estimated then counted how many penguins were in the picture.
Friday - we estimated then counted how many marbles were in the tub (that was a hard one)
We also had a cup of sweets, the children had to estimate how many there were. We then counted them and the person who got the closest won the cup of sweets. Jaeden’s estimation was the closest, well done 👏
We finished the week with athletics as usual!
