P7 also completed lots of practical Maths activities as part of last week’s Numeracy Week. To coincide with our Maths topic of ‘circles’ we measured the circumference and diameter of a series of circular objects and used the measurements to calculate Pi.
We created “Rockstars”and measured the length, weight, height and volume of these to create their “passports.”
We also measured the length and breadth of our netball and hockey pitches and used the measurements to calculate the area and perimeter of each.
